Discontinued Hasselblad XCD 21mm f/4?
re: Camera System Value Proposition: Sony A7R V vs Leica SL3 vs Fujifilm GFX100 II vs Hasselblad X2D
Hasselblad has seemingly discontinued one of the best XCD lenses—with no viable replacement anywhere close—the superb Hasselblad XCD 21mm f/4.
Seriously? A medium format system whose widest lens is now a grab-shot 28mm and that lens won’t ship for 6 weeks or so. Though there is the superb Hasselblad XCD 30mm f/3.5.
As a pro, you count on lenses being there, should a new job arise in the future. A bad look.
Is it discontinued?
The XCD 21/4 still has a web page on the Hasselblad site But it is not listed in “Related Products” nor is it available to buy.
Over at B&H Photo, it is is “no longer available”.
Meanwhile, the Fujifilm medium format system includes both the Fujifilm GF 23/4 and the superb Fujifilm GF 20-35/4.
