Where is the Nikon D900?

Good as the Nikon D810 is (still my workhorse), I was hoping we would see a Nikon D900 announced today with an EVF option, 50 megapixel or better sensor, Retina-grade rear LCD, in-body image stabilization and so on.
Well, not really all that—but at least some bone with meat on it. Still, I suppose that the new camera lifecycle is 3 years, and we are only 2.3 years into that cycle on the D810.
