Sigma DP Merrill Pricing UP by $200

The Sigma DP1 Merrill and DP2 Merrill are now priced at $999 with the DP3 Merrill at $938. They have been priced as low as $799 until recently, so this represents a 25% price bump, rather odd under current market conditions. It was $999 early in the year, so perhaps Sigma has sold off inventory and is resuming former pricing? Still, it’s odd to see a price increase these days.
One explanation could be strong sales, but I have no information on that. Another could be that the price has varied before and Sigma is experimenting.
Update, I inquired with Sigma:
For the month of July, Sigma was running a special promotion where the DP1 & 2 Merrill along with the SD1 were on special with a discount of $200. on the DPs and $400 off of the SD1 Merrill. This is not a case of Sigma raising prices but rather a case of Sigma offering a special on products for a definitive period of time.
Shown below is the DP1 Merrill with the Really Right Stuff L-bracket. I keep hoping we will see a DP4 Merrill with a 19mm f/3.5.
