DxO Optics Pro 8 Lens Recognition Bug

Testing DxO Optics Pro 8 on yesterday’s 24-70 shots, I encountered this bug.

I had shot the new Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L II on the Canon EOS 5D Mark III. This caused DxO to want to download three inapplicable lenses.

The download is a minor thing, no big deal, but the main problem is that DxO then proceeded to act as if the match were correct, providing distortion and other corrections as options.

Yet the new Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L II has no support yet, and indeed is not even listed on the DxO web page as planned to be supported (as I wrote this). Which means that lens corrections will be improperly applied.

DxO Optics Pro v8 selects the wrong lenses (should be Canon 24-70 f/2.8L II)
