Canon EOS 1D X vs 5D Mark III: Definitive Resolution Comparison
Kicking off my review of the Canon 1D X (about $6799) is a resolving power comparison between the Canon 1DX and the Canon 5D Mark III. I include a very large actual pixels crop from both cameras, but also four large scaled-up crops for ease of comparison to simulate a 36 X 24 inch print.
Hint: it’s about more than resolving power.
I’ve also shot a full ISO/noise comparison under both tungsten and studio-grade LED lighting and this will be presented next. Very interesting stuff.
