Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.4G Animated Aperture Series, on D3x

To DAP I’ve added an animated aperture series from f/1.4 through f/16 in 1/3-stop increments, for the Nikon 35mm f/1.4G. This follows on the heels of similar series for the Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 Distagon and Leica 35mm f/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH.

The entire frame at high resolution is shown, as well as several large crops.

Not advised for iPhone or small screens due to the bandwidth and size.

The series can be a learning tool for understanding the vignetting, bokeh and blur characteristics across the aperture series from f/1.4 through f/16.

The animated depth of field changes are a great learning tool for understanding how much to stop down for acceptable sharpness, much better than any table of numbers.
