Gigapan Epic Pro Robotic Panorama Camera Platform

Gigaplan Epic Pro
Gigapan Epic Pro

Just published in DAP is my review of Gigapan Epic Pro, a robotic camera platform for making gigapixel images.

I encountered several issues with the Gigapan Epic Pro hardware and software, detailed in my review.

I used it with a Really Right Stuff GP-CB Pkg that upgrades the mounting system to one that works really right.

Thank you for the great GigaPan review. I had been really interested in potentially investing in one of these units, but after reading your review, am thinking better of it. I've used a RRS pano clamp for years to create simple single row panoramas, and would be a lot more likely to buy the additional components from RRS for a multi-row system after reading your review. All of the questions I had about practicality of weight/transport, and software were answered.
