I highly recommend the 24/3.8 Elmar-M ASPH, for reasons I describe in my Guide. At about $2495, it’s a bargain in the Leica M world compared to its f/2.8 and especiallly its f/1.4 siblings, while achieving optical performance that meets or exceeds those lenses.
