Flagrant Offroad Vehicle Damage at Patriarch Grove Ancient Bristlecone Pine Forest

Update Oct 1, 2011: I sent the photos to a US Forest Service ranger that I met in late September.

I was furious to witness the blatant damage by this jerk driving right through the heart of Patriarch Grove in his pickup truck. Where’s my phaser when I need it?

I have another photo with a clear license plate, and I’m hoping the authorities can prosecute him, but I’m realistic, and I don’t hope for much.

Multiple signs at left say “Absolutely no offroad driving” and similar.

This guy knew what he was doing and chose to track right through the first thing that visitors experience with this particular hill in the background a classic view in Patriarch Grove. Now it’s a view with multiple sets of tire tracks.
