Reader Comments on Zeiss Guide, Wide Aperture Landscape Technique

Reader Doug O of San Diego, CA writes:

Lloyd, I owe you a huge THANKS. I subscribed to your Zeiss publication to learn more about these amazing Zeiss lenses, despite not owning any, and you convinced me to buy the ZE 21mm f/2.8 Distagon.

I was blown away by the image quality, so much so that I promptly bought the 50mm and 100mm f/2 Makro-Planars shortly thereafter. Stunning. Truly stunning. Manual focus and the image quality of these lenses has reinvigorated my photography. Can't thank you enough. This is the first time EVER that I have bought lenses and just knew that I would never sell them. I am now planning for my next Zeiss purchase, the 35mm f/2.

Thanks much. You've taught me more about equipment than anyone and you have also opened up a brand new world of photography: large aperture landscape imagery. The Zeiss is perfect for this and the images are just crazy impressive. Never had so much fun taking pictures.

DIGLLOYD: I take great pleasure in hearing from readers who have found a new passion for photography in which I might have played a small part.

My 9-page Wide Aperture Landscapes mini guide is in DAP, as well as in print in Photo Technique magazine.
