Portraits With the Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 Distagon Wide Open

Just posted in my Guide to Zeiss ZF / ZE lenses is a page of portraits with the Zeiss 35mm f/1.4 Distagon wide open at f/1.4.

With a wonderful mix of superb color saturation, sharpness on the eyes, and gently relaxing bokeh, the 35/1.4 Distagon makes a great portrait lens at f/1.4.

I don’t think you can do better than this in a 35mm lens. The only trick is making sure you nail the focus. I had a fairly good success rate at dusk.
