Autofocus Consistency With Canon and Nikon 35mm f/1.4 Lenses

Added to Making Sharp Images is a new case study showing the autofocus accuracy of both Canon and Nikon 35mm f/1.4 lenses (Canon 5D Mark II, Nikon D3x).

It appears that both Canon and Nikon have autofocus consistency issues. My case study discusses the implications for the autofocus fine focus adjust feature on DSLRs.
