Toy fish — lifelike replicas for education, fun for kids and adults

These replica toy fish are really lifelike and great for kids and adults. I grew up catching many of these species. My kids latched onto them and enjoyed reading the names and examining them in detail. They are quite an unusual find, and so much better than the franchised dreck you’ll have trouble avoiding this time of year.

You can get them at replicatoyfish.com. Seeing these fish sure brought back memories of hours we used to spend fishing together. Our favorites included Northern Pike, Sunfish and Bluegill (yum!) Crappies, Walleye (yum!!), Carp (for fertilizing the garden corn), Largemouth Bass, and when all else failed, Bullheads. But the Longnose Gar has to be the most intriguing one.
