Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.4G on its way

On its way to me is the new Nikon AF-S 35mm f/1.4G, but to my chagrin it went out from B&H via ground shipping, which means it likely will arrive next week. I ordered my copy from B&H Photo.

I explain how to analyze MTF charts in Making Sharp Images, but in short, the MTF wide open for the 35/1.4G looks very, very good (though field shots are my preferred way of assessing a lens). See my previous discussion.
