Leica M wide angle lenses

Today I finally got out and did some local shooting with the Leica M9 using the Noctilux 50mm f/0.95 (whose aperture blades repeatedly malfunctioned), the Leica 18mm f/3.8, the 24mm f/2.8 ASPH and the 28mm f/2 Summicron-M ASPH, loaners courtesy of B&H Photo. What a treat carrying the whole darn kit in a small hip pack!

I’ll be adding material on all those Leica M lenses soon to my Guide to the Leica M9 in DAP (Noctilux already has a lot of coverage).

When a big tree falls in a forest, it makes a big mess, or rather an opportunity for upstarts to gather life-giving sunlight— winner take all. Here a tiny casualty about 10" in diameter lies near a cleared trail.

Under the right lighting, the detail the M9 delivers is amazing, and these Leica wides kick butt on color, contrast, and detail. Go get ’em at B&H Photo.
