The Road to Serfdom
The Road to Serfdom ought to be required reading for all high school and college students (and adults), but it would never be allowed in today’s collectivist-oriented schools.
Sadly, this book is awesomely relevant to today’s entitlement society right here in the United States of America, as well as recent events, like the US government telling Boeing in which state it may or may not build an aircraft plant.
It also offers prescient analysis of the justifications and effects of statist control of the means of production, of which few Americans have even a basic grasp today.
